Peru team holds training session before facing France

11:18 | Ekaterinburg (Russia), Jun. 20.

Peru's national soccer team on Wednesday started training in Ekaterinburg prior to its next World Cup match against France to be played this Thursday.

During the session, Christian Cueva was in a better frame of mind. Apparently, he has already overcome the difficult moment he faced for having missed a penalty against Denmark last Saturday.

For the third consecutive day, Renato Tapia did not take part in the workouts. Andre Carrillo and Alberto Rodriguez also remained on the bench.

It is likely these three players are not included in the starting lineup for this crucial game.

The first 15 minutes were open to the media. Then, athletes conducted tactical exercises.

Coach Ricardo Gareca will decide whether Paolo Guerrero and Jefferson Farfan will play from the start of the match as attackers. Otherwise, he will just pick one of them for Thursday's game.

As is known, this clash will be held at Ekaterinburg Arena on June 21 at 8:00 PM (local time).
