Peru: President sends Independence Day greeting to Bolivia

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo extended a fraternal greeting to the Plurinational State of Bolivia on the 197th anniversary of its independence, which was celebrated on August 6.

In a tweet on Saturday night, the Head of State expressed his firm commitment to continue strengthening the historic ties of brotherhood, cooperation, and integration that unite both nations.

"I extend a fraternal greeting to the Plurinational State of Bolivia on the occasion of the 197th anniversary of its independence. I express my firm commitment to continue strengthening the historic ties of brotherhood, cooperation, and integration that unite our nations," he wrote.

Last Saturday, Bolivia celebrated the 197th anniversary of its independence with key events held in the city of Sucre.

On the occasion, Bolivian President Luis Arce delivered a message during an honorary session at the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.
