Peru attends Helsinki Coffee Festival

09:41 | Helsinki (Finland), Apr. 17.

For the second year in a row, Peru attended the Helsinki Coffee Festival, which took place in the Finnish capital on April 12-14.

The event welcomed over 6,500 visitors and around 50 companies —including producers, roasters, buyers, and experts from Finland— participated as well.

It should be noted this Nordic country has one of the highest per capita coffee consumption in the world.

The South American country's participation was organized by the Peruvian Embassy in Finland with the support of the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru).

The stand offered samples of Peruvian arabica coffee from diverse regions, as well as tea elaborated from organic coffee husks.

Likewise, Peruvian brands were promoted at the festival.

The Inca country's coffee sellers —such as Tropical Mountains and Quintana Coffee representatives— also attended the event.

As part of the program, the Peruvian Embassy and Tropical Mountains representatives joined a special talk, in which the company introduced a new concept of Peruvian organic coffee capsules.
