Peru: Health Min meets with Congress members from three regions

Peruvian Health Minister Pilar Mazzetti on Saturday held a virtual meeting with parliamentarians representing Huanuco, Moquegua and Cusco regions to coordinate actions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lawmakers Walter Ascona and Johan Flores from Moquegua participated in the virtual meeting.

Representing Huanuco were legislators Wilmer Bajonero, Yessy Fabian and Luzmila Perez.

Moreover, parliamentarians Alexander Hidalgo, Jorge Vasquez, Ruben Pantoja and Matilde Fernandez represented Cusco region.

Earlier this week, Dr. Mazzetti urged citizens to avoid greeting one another with elbow bumps, to maintain social distancing, and not to be overconfident following the decrease in the numbers of daily COVID-19 cases and deaths.
