Peru PM meets with lawmakers, evaluates measures to contain COVID-19

Peruvian Prime Minister Vicente Zeballos and some Cabinet members on Saturday met with parliamentarians from Lima Provinces to evaluate the measures aimed at containing the impact of COVID-19 and boosting development in the area.

The event was attended by Ministers Victor Zamora (Health), Carlos Lozada (Transport-Communications), and Jorge Montenegro (Agriculture-Irrigation).

It also saw the participation of parliamentarians Carlos Almeri, Carlos Perez, and Alfredo Benites.

Quarantine


Arequipa, Ica, Junin, Huanuco, San Martin, Madre de Dios, and Ancash remain under mandatory social isolation. In those areas, residents are allowed to leave their homes only to have access to essential services and goods and to carry out authorized economic activities.
