Peru's President meets with former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy in U.S.

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo met with former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Kennedy on Monday.

According to the Presidency of the Republic, Kathleen Kennedy expressed her support to the Government of President Castillo.

The gathering took place within the framework of the Peruvian leader's visit to the United States.

As is known, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend is the niece of the late President John F. Kennedy.

In addition, the former Maryland Lieutenant Governor has recently joined the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden.

Mr. Castillo's working agenda in the United States —within the framework of his first visit to such nation— started on September 20, with his participation in the Session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington D.C.

To that end, the Peruvian top official arrived in the United States on Sunday, after his visit to Mexico, where he participated in the VI Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
