President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday verified Phase 3 clinical trials of the COVID-19 candidate vaccine developed by Chinese laboratory Sinopharm.
The event was held at Lima-based San Marcos University (UNMSM).
The Peruvian team of experts is led by Eduardo Ticona —an infectious disease physician and principal professor at the aforementioned institution.
The President was joined by Ministers Pilar Mazzetti (Health) and Mario Lopez (Foreign Affairs) on the occasion.
