President Castillo meets with Peruvian, U.S. entrepreneurs

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo and his accompanying delegation of State ministers held a meeting with Peruvian and U.S. entrepreneurs from the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AmCham) in Washington D.C.

In a post on Twitter, the Presidency of the Republic said that this meeting will help strengthen trade and investment ties between Peru and the United States.

The Peruvian top official arrived in the United States on Sunday afternoon to participate in the Session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the High-Level General Debate of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Mr. Castillo's working visit in this North American nation will start tomorrow, September 20, with his participation in the Session of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS).

Upon arrival, he will be received by Secretary-General of the aforementioned hemispheric organization Luis Almagro.

During his stay at the OAS headquarters, the Peruvian leader will be accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua. 

Also in Washington D.C., the agenda includes a meeting with Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Director Carissa F. Etienne.
